I felt safe the whole time as a woman travelling alone, and the family running the place made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. My room was clean, cosy, and comfortable, with a kettle, tea and coffee, and a handy fridge. Breakfast was delicious, one of the best I had on my trip. The location is right in the city centre, just a short walk from shops, restaurants, and the beach. They also gave me a map with helpful local tips, including where to see the seals. That was such a cool experience. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you want somewhere warm and welcoming.

Our dog was made very welcome and even got treats and sausage at breakfast. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and clearly wanted us to have a good time. We certainly did. The place was spotless, breakfast was brilliant, and the location was great. Amazing place to stay, highly recommend it.

We’ve been coming back for years, and every visit leaves us happy to be guests here. We stayed a few days with our toddler, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The location is right by town, so it’s very convenient. Having a little drinks fridge was handy for keeping a small bottle of milk and some snacks for our toddler.

John and Ellen are lovely people and fantastic hosts. The room was clean and practical, and the location is excellent. John also makes a top breakfast and knows loads about the local area.
