The White House

We had a lovely two nights at The White House Hotel and would happily recommend it. The Oval room was small but suited our stay: nicely decorated and clean, with a cosy comfortable bed, a strong shower and plenty of hot water. It was tidied and cleaned while we were out for the day. Breakfast had lots to choose from, including homemade fruit, oat and yoghurt pots, and the cooked food was delicious and beautifully presented. We also loved the vintage crockery, teapot and milk jug, a real step back in time in the nicest way. Nicholas was a wonderful host, and the hotel felt homely, tidy and full of interesting art, furniture and quirky bits. There’s a parking spot at the front. We’re already looking forward to another visit.

We loved our two nights here. From Nicholas’s warm welcome to all the little corners of the room, the hotel felt cosy and welcoming, almost like being at home. In the evening, you can sit in the dining room with the bar open, low lights and music playing while you chat with a friend. The furniture looks carefully chosen, and each room has its own style, colours and character. Thank you!

We loved the breakfast setup and the menu, and the lady serving was so friendly and helpful. Nicholas, the owner, made us feel very welcome too, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The rooms were chic, spacious, clean and tidy, with lots of thoughtful little touches and a really comfortable bed. It’s about a five-minute walk into central Newquay and ten minutes to the beach. This is the best UK hotel we’ve stayed in for a long time. We’d highly recommend it and will be back. Thanks to Nicholas and the team for a lovely weekend!

We stayed in the presidential suite and it was spacious, comfortable and beautifully furnished, with a stunning view. The service was great, we had no complaints, and breakfast was mouth-wateringly good. I can’t praise the hotel enough. We’re already planning another visit and would highly recommend it.
