We only came for an evening meal and didn’t stay. The food was incredible and there was plenty of it. We had a starter, then shared ribs for the main. The view was absolutely amazing. The staff were polite, but seemed a little inexperienced and didn’t quite have the fun personality you might expect in such a lovely restaurant.

We came to the restaurant, not the hotel, and it lived up to its recommendation. The food and cocktails were excellent, and the staff were very attentive. We requested a table in the conservatory; it was a bit bright there during sunset, but the view and atmosphere were perfect. The food arrived at just the right pace, with no long wait and no rush. Thanks for a great experience.

The sea view is lovely, and the staff were attentive and happy to accommodate a few special dietary needs in our group. The food quality was amazing. It’s a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend the restaurant.

We celebrated my daughter and future son-in-law’s engagement at the colonial on Saturday 12 July 2025. Our table looked out over the beach, and everything was perfect, from the food and drinks to the service. Thank you to everyone working that night. It was unforgettable. 🍾🥂🥂💍

We had drinks while watching the sun go down over the sea, and were lucky enough to join the marshmallow grill around the fire pit. The view is amazing, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. What a delight to discover this place in Newquay. If you have a few hours to while away or want somewhere to watch the sunset, this is the spot.
