Amanda, the owner, and Trudy, her Norfolk terrier, were lovely hosts. The Ambles felt like a home away from home, and the breakfast was really good quality. There’s a big bath as well as a separate shower, and toiletries in the bathroom in case you’ve forgotten anything. We brought our cockapoo Teddy, who enjoyed running around with Trudy. We’ll definitely stay again when we’re visiting family in Northampton.

Such a lovely place. The bed was incredibly comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Amanda is a real powerhouse, thank you!

The old house has loads of character, and I’d recommend this B&B. Our host was warm and friendly, and her dog, Trudie, came to welcome us when we arrived. I couldn’t fault the stay. I did mention that hand rails would be helpful in the walk in shower, and then wondered if they’d been installed by the next time we stayed.

My partner booked this for our anniversary, and I was excited to stay at a hotel that had won Four in a Bed and had high expectations. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests, which made the cleanliness feel poor.

This was easily our best B&B experience. We felt so welcome and spoiled. Amanda was an amazing host, the rooms were extremely clean and well equipped, and breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious.
