The room was filthy, with stains everywhere, and the whole place felt unclean and unsafe. On arrival I saw young men openly smoking drugs on the first-floor terrace, seemingly without regard for anyone else. The man in charge was cooking fish in the open kitchen, and the smell was awful enough to drown out the other smells. The man who met me was overly familiar and friendly in a way that made me uncomfortable. I didn’t stay, and I’ve contacted the owner twice asking for a refund, but still haven’t heard back.

The staff gave excellent service, and the garden was lovely. It’s a good location, not far from the town centre. My room was clean and a nice size. The bed was quite firm, which isn’t my preference, but I managed to get some good sleep.

I enjoyed my stay. The bathroom was lovely, and although the room could use some improvement, it was comfortable for the price. The reception area felt homely and welcoming.

The room wasn’t ready when I arrived with my cousin around 8pm, even though check-in was meant to start at 2pm. We were told to wait another 15 minutes. The man who greeted us asked if we were there for a party, so I had to explain I’d paid for a room. He then asked personal questions about our ages and started telling us about his romantic life. His overly familiar manner made us feel very uncomfortable. While he went upstairs to check the room, I noticed cameras in the upstairs corridors. I also saw him take a man and his bags out of a room, which made me wonder whether that was the room I’d booked. After this unprofessional and inappropriate encounter, I’d like my deposit back.
