The house works really well for our family, with two ground-floor bedrooms for my elderly parents and my cousin who uses a wheelchair. We’ve held our Christmas reunion at Catton Old Hall twice now, and it’s been fabulous both times. The Christmas trees make the place feel especially festive, and there’s plenty of room for all 20 of us to relax or gather in the kitchen, which has everything you could need. The bedrooms are lovely, with fresh, crisp bedding, and the house is always spotless. We even used the hot tub during this stay. The outside kitchen and space are just as impressive, so we may come back for a summer get-together. It’s beautifully maintained, and we can’t wait to book again.

We had a private chef, Will Gowing, The Private Chef Experience, for the birthday meal, and he took care of everything from cooking and serving to washing up and cleaning. We’d definitely recommend him. The house itself had loads of room for our family of 14 celebrating an 80th birthday, with fantastic bedrooms and huge en suites, two kitchens, and a dining room big enough for everyone. The games room kept the younger ones busy, and we even had a family pool competition. Everything we needed was there. We’d come back for a winter family break, though without a swimming pool it wouldn’t suit us for summer.

The gardens are beautiful, and the house is lovely inside and out. Our children especially enjoyed the games room and hot tub. There was enough room in the kitchen for everyone to gather over coffee and cake, and we could all eat together comfortably in the dining room. This 16th-century place went well beyond what we expected. Norfolk Holiday Rentals kept us updated throughout and gave us emergency numbers just in case. It made for a stress-free break, and we’ll definitely return to Old Catton Hall. Thank you, NHR.

We first stayed in 2023, came back in 2024, and plan to stay again in 2025. Catton Old Hall is great for a long weekend and a family get-together. The rooms are lovely, clean, and very well equipped, and the grounds are kept in great shape. We enjoyed the hot tub and outside bar too. Norfolk Holiday Rentals are easy to deal with and quick to answer messages. Fully recommend.
