St Marys House

The house was a lovely, roomy base for a few days away while catching up with our daughter, who’s studying at UEA. It was clean and lovely and warm when we arrived, with nicely laid out bedrooms. There was toilet paper and hand wash in each bathroom, plus tea, coffee, long life milk sachets and individual Lotus biscuits, which were a nice touch. We only cooked once, but the kitchen was fully furnished. The house was much bigger than we needed, though it was nice to have a homely place with space to hang out together. A few small things came up. The washing machine didn’t drain properly after I washed my daughter’s new hoodie separately, so I had to wring it out several times and hang it in the shower to drip dry. One door from the living room to the dining room was locked, which meant extra steps to reach the downstairs toilet. The double doors to the living room could use a bolt so they don’t both open at once.
