The function room was a great size, drinks were reasonably priced, and we could bring our own food and arrange the room how we wanted. Some lovely regulars even offered to help decorate, which made us feel so welcome. I celebrated my 30th birthday here and couldn’t have asked for better. When the DJ cancelled for a reason nobody could avoid, the staff found a brilliant replacement within two hours. They were friendly and attentive throughout. I’d recommend the venue to anyone booking a function. Thanks so much to the whole team!

Getting up the hill with luggage was a bit of a struggle, but the room was large and warm. Breakfast was hearty and freshly cooked, and the juice was really fresh too. The staff were warm and friendly.

The pub was the friendliest I’ve stayed in, and the breakfast was one of the tastiest. Though the Pub/B&B looked a bit jaded from outside, the bedroom was among the best equipped I’ve had: hot chocolate and a coffee machine, kettle, biscuits, bottled water, tissues, an iron and board, safe, books, grab handles and shower mats. It also had the hottest, biggest walk-in shower, plus a dining table and fridge.

I was here for three weeks for a work event. The staff stayed friendly and accommodating the whole time. My room was tidy and spacious, and breakfast was really tasty. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The breakfast was excellent. The rooms were nice too, though the beds felt too hard.
