Cockliffe House

Our wedding day went beautifully, and Emilie was a huge part of that. She understood what we wanted and made it happen, handling every request without making anything feel like a problem. We had no doubts we’d picked the right place. Cockliffe is a lovely country manor, with well kept grounds and clean, well maintained rooms, bar and toilets. The serving and bar staff were friendly and professional. Our bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was included for everyone the next morning. The only downside was how cold the room was that morning, though we were there in November. We first chose Cockliffe after visiting on an event day. We’d seen plenty of other venues, but this one felt right. The menu tasting evening was brilliant too: we got to try the food, see the venue set up in the evening, look at styling ideas, and chat with other couples. It was hard to choose from the food options because everything was so good. Emilie met with us in person before the wedding to go over the plans. Thank you to her and everyone at Cockliffe for such an incredible day!

We got married at Cockliffe in mid December 2025 and couldn’t have asked for a better day. Our guests loved both the food and the venue, and breakfast the next morning was fantastic. The bar staff were polite and lovely too. Andrea and the team were so attentive throughout, always ready to make the day special. You can see how much the staff enjoy working there, and that really adds to the experience. We’re already looking forward to going back for an event, though it’s a shame we can’t relive the whole day again. Thanks so much, everyone!

We’d visited several wedding venues, and Cockliffe was the last one on our list. Within five minutes, we knew we wanted to celebrate there. The countryside setting, the understated beauty of the house and grounds, and the friendly staff all made a great first impression. That feeling lasted right through our autumn wedding, which was everything we’d hoped and dreamed it would be. Andrea was a wonderful coordinator, helping us plan and then making sure that, on the day, we and our guests could enjoy the whole celebration without worrying about a thing. She, her colleagues, and the rest of the team were fantastic. Our family and friends kept mentioning how beautiful the venue was, how good the food was, and how helpful and excited for us the staff seemed. All those little touches helped everyone relax and have a brilliant time. Cockliffe and its staff will always mean a lot to us, not only because we got married there, but because everyone made such an effort to give us the perfect day. We’re so grateful and would absolutely recommend it as a wedding venue.
