The staff and service were brilliant, and I have absolutely no complaints there. The location is good, though you'll need a car to explore the area. We brought our dog and had no problems. Our superior double room was lovely, and the hotel is a hidden gem. I live near Eastwood and hadn't known it was there. The grounds are beautiful, and the hotel itself is clean, fresh, modern and comfortable. The only reason this isn't five stars is that we stayed during a heat wave, and the room fan wasn't very good. There was no air con.

Hannah made dinner a highlight. She was dedicated, friendly and funny, and the food was second to none. The cooks and kitchen team deserve recognition for the meals they produce. My partner and I were first-time guests at Eastwood Hall and weren't sure what to expect. Check-in was easy, with a confident, presentable receptionist to greet us, and we found our room without trouble. The room is starting to look a little dated and could use new lighting and a bathroom update, but otherwise it was more than fine. We spent the evening in the pool, which had great facilities. The restaurant has plenty of seating, but feels a little too open. Sectioning it off might make it feel cosier.

We had a lovely overnight break at Eastwood Hall, and the meal made the evening. The food was absolutely stunning. We had three courses and enjoyed every one. Our waitress Hannah was a sweetheart, and nothing was too much trouble for her.

Ailsa was a delight in the restaurant this evening. She was helpful and fun without getting in the way, and is a credit to the staff. The reason I gave four stars instead of five is the lunchtime food from the bar. It didn't match the hotel's standard. The chips arrived cool after we'd already waited a while. I took them back and the replacements were hot, so I don't understand why they couldn't have been hot the first time. By then we'd finished our burger, which let the meal down a bit.

We had a lovely relaxed breakfast the next morning after staying over with some of our guests. Eastwood Hall was such a nice place for a wedding reception. The venue was beautiful, the room was perfect, the fish and chips supper was lovely, and the resident DJ was fantastic. Couldn't have asked for a better atmosphere. We held the reception after eloping in Scotland the month before. Holly helped us with everything, from advice about the room and its setup to decorations and the evening plan. She was amazing and made us feel sure it would all be sorted. Dan and the team were fantastic on the night and kept us on schedule, even though we were having so much fun that we forgot our plans for the first dance and cake cutting. Thank you so much 😊
