Hylands

The team at Hylands Hotel Nottingham were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. I can't remember everyone's names, but I do want to thank Sandeep and Alan, and the other guy there was lovely too. I especially appreciated the little touches, like being given water bottles for free. I had an absolutely great stay, and I'll definitely consider booking Hylands Hotel again next time I'm in Nottingham. Thanks again!

I left my keys just after midnight, about ten hours before checkout. The room had potential and the location was decent, but the place really needs modernising. For £60, the so-called family room didn't feel family-sized. I understood the WiFi charge, but there wasn't even a basic TV, and the bathroom was off the corridor rather than en suite. The radiator gurgled noisily all night, on top of the sounds from the building coming through the paper-thin walls and floors. There was also an old, dusty stray sock stuffed beside the bed. A bonus, I guess.

The rooms are basic and serviceable, and the staff were very helpful. It's near Chilwell Meadow nature reserve and about a 40-minute walk from Attenborough Nature reserve. If you need reliable WiFi, make sure you stay in the annex.

This is my favourite hotel to stay at in nottingham. The rooms are fantastic, neat and clean, and the team behaves really well. For the amenities, the price feels incredible. I'd suggest people come here and enjoy their holidays.
