I really enjoyed my stay and wished I'd booked longer. The staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful whenever I needed them. It's a cute, cosy hostel right in the city centre, with everything within walking distance. There's a nice kitchen, a lounge, and even a patio for eating outside. The rooms are simple but cosy, and have what you need.

This hostel was clean and comfortable, especially the bathroom, which was spotless every time, and the room. The bed was comfy, and there was a big kitchen and nice spaces to hang out. Staff were welcoming and kind, and gave me good tips on where to eat and visit in the city. I felt safe, and the other guests in my room happened to be women too. My one small suggestion is to offer female-only dorms. I'd definitely recommend it for a budget-friendly Nottingham trip.

The location was handy for Winter Wonderland, just a three-minute walk away, but the room was awful. A corner smelled bad, the carpet was dirty and coming up in places, and the window looked straight onto the bed with people opposite. We knew online that under-18s were allowed, but on arrival we were told parental consent was needed before we could enter the room. That would've been fine if it had come through quickly, but we waited at least 15 minutes while already tired and wanting to rest. The WiFi was terrible. Phones barely worked in our Treehouse room, though sometimes they worked downstairs, and the laptop couldn't connect at all. The TV was placed so badly you could hardly see it from the bed. The toilets stopped working at one point overnight. The shared bathroom looked clean, but didn't feel hygienic, and the flush had failed, leaving someone's feces in the toilet. There was banging until 1 a.m., then people running around until at least 4. The walls were so thin that we didn't get a good night's sleep. A month ago in Birmingham I paid only £10 more for a four-star hotel. This wasn't worth it, and we didn't even get a chance to sleep properly or relax and watch TV. At 10:30, when we left, the desk was empty and there was no one to complain to. I won't recommend it or come back.

We stayed in the Hammock room, a double with an amazing, comfy memory foam mattress and an ensuite bathroom. The hostel was quiet, clean, and comfortable. There's a large shared kitchen with everything you need and a lounge area, plus a little courtyard. Lots to see and do nearby, with landmarks, attractions, and shops all within walking distance.

Our room was the Boat Room. For a two-star hotel, it has a great location and no-fuss rooms with TVs. The large shared kitchen has a fridge, and there's a chill room too, which is great. There's even a washing-up sink. The second floor carpet and flooring were dirty, and some of the floor needs replacing. The polyester bedding felt musty and due for replacement as well. We could hear noise from the Bierkeller next door.
