The kitchen was fairly well equipped, and the washer dryer was excellent. The staff were very helpful, and after I pointed out that the £45 cleaning fee hadn’t been shown before booking, they refunded it and gave me £125 back. Even so, this place wasn’t worth the over £300 I was charged for four nights. I’ve stayed in lovely places around the country for a lot less, so don’t expect anything special for that sort of money. They need to lower their fees. The entrance lighting was poor, which didn’t feel good as a woman travelling alone late at night. The blinds wouldn’t close properly, so people could see in. The bathroom was dated and mouldy, and there was no hot water from the kitchen tap. The gas fire and one radiator didn’t work, although it was still warm. The carpets were stained and dirty, the linen was comfortable but stained, and the decor was battered. It’s an okay place, but the price is far too high.

For £75 a night, this really wasn't worth it. The double bed was two halves pushed together and very uncomfortable. The flat felt run down, with stained walls and carpets, mould around the bathroom, holes in the floor, and carpet lifting away from the skirting boards. The living room lamp was broken, and the TV remote didn't work. Internet was only 1mb, so I couldn't watch catch-up TV or download anything. It's on a busy road, and the neighbours played music until 5am on a Monday. The windows and outside of the building looked scruffy and dirty. Not a pleasant stay.

The flat had dirty marks on the walls and elsewhere, and the bedding didn't look clean either. The shower handle was broken, so when switched on it sprayed towards the glass. We'd been told there'd be a large double bed, but it was two separate singles pushed together. I wasn't happy with how it turned out.

Breakfast was great for a continental, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was ideal too.

It's very basic and needs a makeover. The photos hide some of the less appealing bits by using certain angles. For the price, I would've given it fewer stars. With a bit of effort, it could be a good little place.
