Marlborough Hall 3

The apartment and its peaceful surroundings are lovely, but getting in was a nightmare. The online check-in form wouldn't let me upload my ID, so I couldn't complete the required questions. I'd stayed there less than a month earlier and they already had my ID, but I still had to email everything again. Then I was told at short notice that a £200 deposit was required. I needed codes for both the main gate and the key lockbox, but they weren't sent until Saturday. I'd paid for Friday and lost that night, with no refund or even an acknowledgment. The directions to the lockbox were so unclear they felt like a treasure hunt. By the time I got inside, the whole process had left me stressed, agitated and exhausted. The company managing the apartment was incompetent and unprofessional, and took the shine off a lovely place. There was rarely much hot water either.
