The food was amazing, from dinner and dessert to the complimentary full English breakfast. Bar and kitchen staff were fabulous, and we felt like regulars. The welcome was really friendly, the room was cute and clean, and the bathroom sparkled. The beds were a bit uncomfortable, but the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I’d stay here again and again.

Brilliant pub, I’ve been coming here since I was really young, for over 10 years. There’s a good choice of beers and the Sunday dinners are good.

My Mum and I often walk down to the Nelson and Railway for dinner. We love the food and drinks, and it’s very affordable. There’s plenty of choice for vegetarians. I usually get the halloumi burger. The staff are really friendly, and we like the pub’s laid back, unpretentious feel.
