At £80 for a room, plus a £150 deposit and paid parking, I expected much better. The whole property needs work, especially the bedrooms. The mattress was so worn I could feel the springs, and I ended up with a bad back and barely slept. Noise from the room above, with loud banging, kept me awake too, even though I was on the ground floor. The mugs were all dirty, the towels hadn’t been cleaned, and the shower mat was visibly grubby. The owner really needs to take stock and make serious upgrades, starting with the beds, which are essential to a stay. I can’t contribute financially, but I could offer useful interior design guidance if that would help. There should be parking at the back of a place like this. I didn’t make the booking myself, but I won’t be staying again. It just isn’t worth another sleepless night.
