You can feel secure staying here, since everything runs on key cards. The rooms are clean and housekeeping is provided, and there’s a bus stop nearby. There’s also a study room, a games room and a fitness centre.

The staff are lovely, and I’ve no complaint about them, but I can’t recommend staying here. The heat is the biggest problem. On the ground and first floors in summer it’s not too bad, but from the second floor up it’s ridiculous. My northeast-facing room stayed above 29 degrees Celsius for around three weeks, even though it was no more than 24 outside. The window opens only about four inches and is partly blocked on the other side. There’s no airflow unless people across the corridor open their doors and windows. The kitchen and lounge windows are just as small, and half the kitchens have no blinds on their 6m^2 windows. My southwest-facing kitchen regularly reached 34 degrees Celsius with nobody in it. There are other irritating design choices too. The desk is too small, and the chair doesn’t go high enough, so long typing sessions could give you carpal tunnel. There are only three UK outlets and two EU ones in the room, which seems an odd balance. It’s expensive, yet you have to buy your own bin bags and dishwasher tablets. Every lounge has a PS5, though. Selling those could pay for fresh bin bags in every kitchen bin every weekday for nearly a century. Some smaller things were off as well. My pots and pans were dirty when I arrived, the wardrobes slope so their doors won’t shut, and the light above my bed regularly falls off. Triumph House feels like it was designed by someone who’s seen lots of hotels but never lived in student halls.

I stayed at StudyInn Triumph House for a year, from 2024-2025. The team and cleaning staff were friendly, helpful and professional, and I found it cleaner and better managed than many other places in Nottingham. There are several things I liked, but a few problems kept coming up. In the second half of my stay, the toilet water in my room often turned cloudy brown and seemed to flow back, as if it might be coming from the main sewage system. Flushing repeatedly didn’t always clear the smell or greasy residue. I can’t say whether other rooms had the same issue, and it hadn’t happened during the first half of the year. My first-floor room, Room 105, was affected by smoke from the outdoor seating area, where many residents seemed to smoke. Whenever I opened the window, smoke came in quickly, wherever people were sitting. It was hard to air the room, especially at night. Moving the smoking spot to the shared waste area on the other side of the building or farther out by the canal fence might help keep smoke away from residents’ windows. Summer was also uncomfortable. The concrete building held the heat, and nights were sometimes unbearable. I understand most UK accommodation doesn’t have air conditioning, but opening the windows and using a fan often wasn’t enough. Even a few measures to reduce the heat would make summer much more comfortable. Despite these issues, I think StudyInn Triumph House is a really good place to live, and the staff deserve plenty of praise.

I lived at Study Inn Triumph House for two years and had a great experience. Both Jubilee Campus and Park Campus are a short walk away, which made getting to lectures easy. The Rose & Crown is just around the corner, with a Subway and a pizza place across the street. A few grocery shops are within a 12-minute walk too. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were great, and service was excellent throughout. The kitchen, spa, study spaces and communal areas were all well planned and high quality. I’d recommend it to students looking for a comfortable, supportive place to live with good connections.

The staff were so friendly and efficient. There are lots of extras here too, like a gym, sauna and grand piano.
