The Station Hotel

We came back for our second Sunday lunch in a few months. The staff are friendly and happy to help, and there was a good amount of veg alongside the meal. You can choose beef, pork, roast gammon or a vegetarian option, all with Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, mash and plenty of gravy. A lovely lunch.

Everyone said the buffet was really good. We had my son's party here on Saturday night, and the whole evening went brilliantly. Lee was so helpful and flexible while we were planning it, and the staff on the night were friendly and made sure we had a great time. Thanks for making it such a good night!

The Sunday lunch was good value at £9.99, and the pub itself is really nice, but the service was terrible. The board still showed old draft beer choices, the Guinness 0% was warm because the fridge hadn't been restocked, and a computer glitch sent only two of our four meals to the kitchen. Two of us had nearly finished eating before the others got their food. We ordered extra drinks while waiting, and it would've been nice if those had been complimentary to make up for it. This is the second poor meal experience we've had here, which is a shame.

A lovely traditional pub. I had fish and chips, though I forgot to take a photo. You can see from my plate that it was nice, and I'd recommend it. My partner had pie and chips and said hers was beautiful too. She'd definitely have it again.
