The Lake Isle

Each course showed off the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in the cooking. Everything was beautifully prepared and presented without fuss, and nothing seemed rushed. We couldn’t find a single thing to fault and will most certainly return. My wife and I were lucky enough to dine at Lake Isle on New Year’s Eve. The team’s professionalism and genuine hospitality made a great first impression. The front-of-house service was outstanding, especially from the two brothers running the room. They were attentive, knowledgeable and warm throughout the evening, with just the right touch. Five-star food and service. We’d wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone wanting a special meal.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the team welcomed us warmly from the moment we came through the door. We had such a lovely dinner last night that I wanted to leave a review. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the restaurant.

We both enjoyed our starters and pork loin mains, and I’d like to come back again. I took my father to Lake Isle in the centre of Uppingham yesterday for an unplanned lunch. It’s a beautiful little restaurant, and we were greeted professionally when we arrived. The set lunch menu is good value, with food that’s really well cooked. Well done to everyone there.

We had such a wonderful Christmas lunch. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff were friendly and welcoming as well as professional. We enjoyed the whole experience, just as we’d hoped after having an excellent meal at the restaurant in summer.
