The owners were both very pleasant, and I wouldn't want to leave that out. The room was alright with a decent view, and there were tea and coffee supplies, milk and some condiments. We booked an overnight stay for a birthday surprise, but the mattress was so uncomfortable that Mrs only got a few hours' sleep. There was also a teddy bear wedged between the headboard and wall. Our room had an en suite, but at least one room doesn't, so some poor soul had to keep walking out into the shared corridor to use the toilet. Breakfast was continental only, and pretty limited. In a Scottish tourist hotspot, I think not offering a cooked breakfast is absolutely mental. The Oban butchers are probably class, and the owners are missing a trick. It was really quiet too, a radio would have been nice.

The price was good, and I'd recommend the place. It's a quiet B&B with a continental breakfast. The host served tea and coffee and kept the croissants and toast coming. It's not disabled-friendly. I drove to Oban, though you can take a bus or walk the roughly 2-3 miles.

Jacintha and Gerard are so lovely that staying at Elderslie Guest House feels like being with family, a real home from home. My family and I have always stayed there, and this time my son and I came for a long weekend. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. The guest house is about 10-15 minutes from town, either along the main road or by the back forest walk. The rooms have exactly what you need: comfortable beds, tea and coffee, and a bathroom of a good size. The owners are always there if you need them. I'd always recommend them.

The family room worked perfectly for us with our kiddo, and could have fit another person or maybe two more kids. Everything was so comfortable, from the bed to the little touches like tea, milk and biscuits. The hosts were friendly, and I liked that they were nearby on the property. Town is just close enough for a 20-minute walk to dinner. I'd recommend it and come back.

The room was small, but more than enough for us, and the bed was very comfortable. Even in the heat, the down duvet helped us sleep well. The ensuite was especially good, with an absolutely amazing shower. We spent the week here and were impressed. We felt very welcome from the first greeting through to the final breakfast. I can't recommend the accommodation enough and would definitely visit again.
