The location worked especially well for us arriving by train: it’s between the station and the town centre, with Dartmoor National Park easy to reach. Our room faced away from the road, so it was quiet, and it was spacious and exceptionally clean. Breakfast and the rest of the facilities were great, and the hosts were lovely. There’s a laundrette just a couple of minutes down the road, handy for a longer visit. Thanks very much, we’ll be back!

Meadowlea was brilliant value and really close to the train station. I slept comfortably, and breakfast service was excellent. I loved staying here and would recommend it without hesitation.

We got in quite late but were greeted warmly and shown to our rooms without delay. The street was peaceful, and the rooms felt comfortable and homely. It’s about a five-minute walk to town, so we were soon out having dinner. I slept very well and enjoyed the full English breakfast. A relaxing stay.

The bed was really comfortable, and the room was cosy and clean. There was a great choice at breakfast, and the shops are only about a five-minute walk away. Mark and Leslie were friendly and helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay, I’d highly recommend it.

I was only here overnight before a course, but the hosts were a lovely, helpful couple. The rooms were small, though cosy and practical, and suited what I needed perfectly. Breakfast was nothing to complain about either. I’ll be back in the area in September and plan to stay here again.
