The garden was a real highlight, and the castle and quay are close by. We had a wonderful bank holiday weekend here. The place is tastefully done and has everything you need, and we loved the old ceiling fan in the hall. Pubs and restaurants are nearby, with a shop and post office just a short walk away. The complimentary biscuit and bottle of wine were a lovely welcome. Thanks, we’ll recommend it and come again.

It feels like a home away from home, tucked away on a quiet farm with a path down to the riverside. It’s dog friendly too, and apparently kings used to look over the place.

The village shop and bakery are just a stone’s throw away, along with pubs and the quay, where there’s an ice cream van and tea room. The accommodation is cosy and has a lovely river view.
