The breakfast staff were great, but the rest of our stay was really disappointing. We had no hot water, and it seemed to run out after one person showered. The owners said nothing had happened, even though a plumber was working on the boiler when we arrived. We were told it had been fixed, but it still wasn't. When I complained, I felt dismissed and the owners continued to deny there was a problem. There were five couples staying for a friend's wedding. At first I thought the groom had booked rooms nearby, then learned they were part of the wedding package. From past experience, package rooms can cost a lot more than other local accommodation, and the service often isn't as good. If you're offered one for a wedding, I'd politely decline and look for somewhere else in the area if you can. You could save a lot of money and get better service.

Corinne was so lovely, and she and her husband even offered us a lift to Woodhill Hall for the wedding we were attending. That was a stunning venue too. Back at Bertie’s, our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, with a really cool design that felt personal. We had a wonderful breakfast the next morning and will definitely come back.

We booked at the last minute for a two-night mini-moon at berties, staying in the potting shed, and the staff were very accommodating. The room was amazing, with lovely decor down to the smallest details and a beautiful freestanding bath. Breakfast was cooked fresh for us and tasted great. Everyone was kind and helpful, and we really couldn't fault the stay.

Diane gave us such a warm, helpful welcome. We were wedding guests at Woodhill Hall and stayed in the W Room, which felt sumptuous. The bed was very comfortable and we slept extremely well. In the morning, we had a beautifully cooked full English breakfast. The whole experience was faultless, and we'd gladly recommend staying here to friends and family.

We had a fabulous two-night stay while attending a wedding at Woodhill Hall. The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated, and the staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was a great full English. I'd happily stay again. In the prickly pear room, a couple more hooks would be useful, but otherwise everything was great.
