We left and returned our card, but the manager refused to refund us. His alternative was for us to go back to beds that hadn't been ready when we arrived and, after they were supposedly changed, still had stains everywhere. We have since proceeded with small claims legal action. We got to the premises at 6:40, nearly three hours after the stated check-in time. The receptionist showed us to our room and said, “sorry this is our volunteer room so it’s a bit messy.” The bunk beds had other people's dirty sheets, underwear, personal belongings, and pills on them. She asked us to leave while she changed the bedding. When we came back at 10:40, the “clean” sheets were stained all over and smelled awful. This was the worst experience ever. The manager should rethink his position if that's the service he's aiming to provide.

Right by town, and the hostel was so clean, from the kitchen and bathroom to the rooms. The workers were friendly and helpful with everything, and I loved how the place runs. I had the best hostel experience and really appreciated it. I'll definitely come back.

There were no curtains on the beds, so privacy was hard to find. The showers weren't cleaned regularly, the whole place smelled weird, and it felt quite dirty with an off atmosphere. Wouldn't recommend.

Freddie was the number one, bringing the bread that makes everyone happy and giving the hostel a fabulous vibe. Julia and Ana were fabulous too. The staff were amazing, and I'll be back!

Julia made me feel especially welcome and comfortable, and went out of her way to show me around. She helped create such a great atmosphere. I absolutely loved this hostel and will definitely return next time I'm in Oxford!!😉
