Noa Residence

We stayed two nights and had a really poor experience. The basement apartment was very cold, with only a tiny radiator. It was also very dirty, with mildew on the walls, dusty shelves, and tears and holes in the lino. A kitchen cabinet was missing its handle. The water took ages to warm up, and the kitchen pressure was low. There was still someone’s food in the fridge when we arrived. That’s not acceptable, and at 150 it definitely wasn’t worth it. I don’t recommend this place at all. Stay away.

It was good value, but things were broken here and there. The cleaning staff had also left mouldy bread by the door for us to find. Our basement room didn’t have an oven like the others in the building, so some food went to waste.

I stayed at Noa Residence for several weeks and was really pleased with the staff. They were happy to make adjustments to help me feel comfortable, which I don’t think some of the reviews praising updated amenities give them enough credit for. The manager came to my room personally when I moved in, and maintenance replaced the TV when I asked. The cleaning staff, especially Jean, went above and beyond. One day I left dirty dishes in the sink and came home to find them washed and on the drying rack, ready to use. The service was exceptional, and I’d happily stay again.

Tasteful rooms that don’t feel corporate, in a great neighborhood. It’s a short walk to the shops and restaurants of Summertown, and a pleasant place for tourists as well as academic or business travelers. For Oxford, the price is reasonable, and the studio or small apartment has what you need: washer-dryer, oven, range, table and chairs, dishes, clothes drying rack, closet, tub and shower. There’s bike parking and some car parking too. Best of all, the internet is really solid and stable. It’s very private and quiet. Excellent place to stay!
