The staff were great, friendly and helpful, which was a bright spot. We'd booked two nights for my birthday celebrations, but room 108 was disappointing for the price. It was very small, with a double bed, bedside cabinets and a sideboard with drawers. The bathroom was nearly as small, with a walk-in shower, basin and WC. The room was far too hot for March, so we had to use the air conditioning to sleep, though it was included in the room rate. It overlooked the large forecourt beside the station, but the double glazing kept it quiet. Such a shame, as the room felt close to claustrophobic and was much too warm.

The room got much too hot, even with the window open. Otherwise, it was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was also plenty of information available about exploring the city.

The staff were so kind and went out of their way to help. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the location was really convenient for travelers. I loved this hotel and would stay again if I make it back to Oxford.

The room was spacious, clean and well kept, and the hotel's location made getting around Oxford easy. The hotel doesn't have a lift, but the team were happy to bring our luggage up or help with it at checkout. You just need to ask. Javier deserves a special thanks. He made check-in easy and helped us feel right at home. It was a lovely stay, and I'd recommend Royal Oxford Hotel to friends and family visiting the city.
