Olcote House

Olcote house is about a 15-minute walk from the harbour, and we’d definitely stay there again when visiting Padstow. This converted townhouse is a rare find, with three rooms, each with an ensuite. Jane and Andy are excellent hosts and serve an English Breakfast. They both worked as Caterers, and hospitality seems to run in the family: their daughter owns 'Prawn on the Lawn', which is well worth a try. The rates were very reasonable and the rooms beautifully presented. The Cornish Fairings with coffee were a real treat.

I was only there for one night, but had a great stay. The breakfast is made to order and delicious, and the house granola is the best. The hosts are warm, friendly and easy to talk to, while the rooms are spacious, stylish and comfortable. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the harbor. There’s a steep hill on the way back, but it’s nothing too bad.

The hosts were friendly and the service was excellent. The property was very clean and tidy, with free WiFi, and it’s just a short walk to the centre of Padstow. Breakfast was nice. Just bear in mind it’s a room in someone’s home, so there’s no dining area. The owner takes COVID precautions seriously and requires masks in communal areas. Highly recommended.

The cooked-to-order breakfast was lovely, and there was a great range of fresh fruit too. Our room was clean, fresh and nicely decorated, with a coffee machine. The hosts were efficient and helpful. We enjoyed the walk to Padstow, which took around 10 to 15 minutes.
