The house is ideally placed for exploring Padstow and the surrounding area, but it seems to have had very little maintenance for holiday lets. The photos show a blown back bedroom window, damaged plaster in the recess and mould and damp patches around both back bedroom windows. There was also mould on the bathroom ceiling and window recess. When we arrived, the electricity box door was on the floor with the recycling bags. We’d been told not to use the bags and to put everything in the waste bin, so we took our recycling home. We couldn’t find the key box either. I called the number provided and found I was speaking to the cleaner, as the owner lives abroad. They said the key box was in the back garden, where I eventually found it. Going inside, I was disappointed by the lack of upkeep. I was glad we paid under £300, rather than the over £1000 it goes for in the summer months.
