Blue Waters Lodge

It was our second visit to Blue Waters, and Julia and Iain welcomed us back with open arms. For my birthday they put up banners, brought a bottle of prosecco and sang at breakfast. It absolutely made my weekend. The room was spotless, the bed lovely and comfortable, and it was so quiet. After a long day out, it felt like coming home, with everything we could need. We can't wait to return next year. Our little Blue Waters Lodge duck came home with us and is going on adventures! I almost want to keep this lovely find to ourselves, but don't hesitate to book.

Julia and Iain's suggestions have helped us see and experience more of the area in the last few years than we did over the previous 30-plus years of visiting. We've enjoyed great walks, days out and local restaurants. We've stayed at Bluewaters Lodge several times, for weekends and longer trips, and the hosts always go above and beyond. The breakfasts have a fantastic range to suit all tastes and set you up for the day. Rooms have always been clean and tidy, with fresh towels and bedding and thoughtful extras. The bar, dining room and sitting room are all welcoming and well kept. Nothing is too much trouble, and we hope to stay for many years to come. Absolutely outstanding.

We had such a special time here for our 55th wedding anniversary. Julia and Iain, our hosts and now our friends, made it even more memorable. We've stayed three times, and the place is absolutely superb in every respect. We've already booked two stays for next year. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would.

Julia and Iain made us feel like friends, and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely, and there were lots of thoughtful little touches in the bedroom. A first class B&B and I'd highly recommend it.
