Summerhill Hotel

Breakfast has an excellent choice and is all done to an incredible standard. The food is great. The owners and staff are the friendliest I've come across in the hotel sector, and nothing is too much trouble. Summerhill Hotel is clean and fresh, with tasteful decor and furnishings. Such a beautiful place to stay. I'd highly recommend it and would definitely come back. Well done to everyone there.

I loved the chandelier in my room. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds comfortable, and the service excellent. We felt very welcome, and breakfast was great for both quality and choice. I'd recommend this hotel. I don't agree with its two-star status, it feels more like a five-star hotel.

We only stayed two nights and wished we'd booked a longer visit. The fruit yoghurt at breakfast was especially good. We had plans already, so couldn't try the evening meal, though the menu looked varied and reasonably priced. The location was good, the staff very friendly, and we felt Covid-safe. We'd definitely stay again.

The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and breakfast was great. I also liked being able to get a chilled glass of wine at the small bar and enjoy it on the terrace. From there, it's an easy walk down to the seafront park, along the coastal path and into the beautiful town. Our room was stunning, with big windows looking out to sea. The en-suite let it down, though. The shower had so little power that I ended up taking a bath, and the bathroom window and blinds were stained or mildewed. It needs a modern en-suite styled to suit the room. Even though the room itself was beautiful, I wouldn't want to stay in that one again.
