Breakfast was first class and kept me going for a full day on the coast path. I liked the location so much I added an extra night. Waverley was affordable and clean, and Hans was warm and helpful. His enthusiasm for the work, after so many years in the business, really showed. The other guests were friendly too, and some were repeat visitors, which says a lot about how welcoming the place is. Thanks to Hans and Janie!

We had a lovely holiday and are already looking forward to coming back. The town centre is nearby, but the place stays very quiet. The beach, train and bus stations, pubs, and amusement arcades are all an easy walk away. Hans makes a lovely breakfast each morning and is happy to suggest things to see and do around Devon.

The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. Hans made us feel very welcome, and was just as kind to our three-month-old puppy. We had a lovely stay and will book again. The location was perfect for us. Thanks, Hans.x

The breakfast was superb and really tasty, and we felt welcome from the start. The host went out of his way to help us, and the location is very handy, close to town and the seafront. The room is small and basic, but the price reflects that. Only downside was the seagulls' early morning chorus waking us up, though I suppose that's part of staying so close to the sea. Really nice host, and well recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week here. It's warm and friendly, and Hans knows the area well, including how to get around. After 17 years running the guest house, he clearly has plenty of local knowledge. The beach is a two-minute walk and town is five minutes away, so our car barely moved all week. A nice, quiet place to stay, and one I'd recommend. Hans deserves a five-star upgrade!
