The best part was coming back after a day out and sitting by the picture window, taking in those amazing views. The cottage is tucked away, though Pateley Bridge is only a few minutes' drive, and there's plenty to see nearby. Jules and Trevor have thought of just about everything, from the first-rate facilities to a welcome pack with fresh milk, eggs, butter, tea, coffee, jam, warm bread and flapjacks. The ducks, chickens and alpacas kept us entertained too. A stunning little countryside escape if you want to get away from it all. Highly recommend.

The hosts couldn't have been more welcoming, and the welcome pack was such a treat: eggs, bread, butter, milk and fantastic oat cakes. The place is beautifully decorated, and its remote setting makes it wonderfully quiet. We fed the alpacas cut carrots and enjoyed the very friendly chickens. A stunning place to stay, in a perfect location.

We felt at home straight away, especially with a glass of wine by the fireplace. The cottage is so cosy, spotless, quaint and rustic, with beautiful views. Jules and Trevor were terrific hosts, welcoming and accommodating, and shared plenty of tips on the area and places to eat. Trevor's breakfast was fantastic too. The tame animals were happy to get all our fuss. It was such a peaceful countryside weekend. We hope to see Jules and Trev, the chickens, ducks, sheep and alpacas again. Visit 02 July 2018.

The panoramic window looking out over Nidderdale is wonderful, and the chickens kept coming to peer in. Al and Pacca came by the kitchen window to say good morning, and herding the ducks in at night was part of the fun. Amazing location, fantastic room and lovely hosts. We'd definitely return, 100% recommend.
