Phil and Vanda really go out of their way to keep guests comfortable and looked after. You only need to ask, and I believe they’ll grant your request if they can. The rooms are very comfortable, and the menu has a good choice with everything freshly cooked. We’ve just returned from a really great stay and would highly recommend it. Off road parking, a beautifully clean and modern property, comfortable beds and a powerful shower made this a true gem of a guest house. The hosts were great, and breakfast had a good selection of food. It’s ideally placed near Penrith, the North Lakes West coast rail line, the M6, the A66, the town centre and other Lake District tourist spots nearby. Looking forward to returning.

In the morning our host was attentive to what we needed over an extensive breakfast. The night before, they’d suggested several hostelries for supper, and we picked the closest one. We were greeted pleasantly, helped to park off road, and given all the details. The room was a reasonable size, with a bathroom and shower over the bath. There was a kettle with a good choice of tea and coffee, plus two tasty packets of biscuits, always welcome. All in all, a good place to stop for the night, close to the M6.

We all agreed we’d happily come back after our group of six stopped here on the way up to Scotland. There was on site parking behind a locked chain, clean rooms, an extensive breakfast choice and a warm, friendly welcome. The dinner recommendations were spot on, and there were plenty of places within walking distance. It had everything we needed.
