We had no sleep the first night. The mattress was incredibly hard and wasn't in a bed frame, so it kept shifting overnight. When we raised it, we were told the only option was a £300 upgrade. We said no three times. After already spending £715 for five days, we ended up scraping together £200 for a mattress topper so the holiday wouldn't be ruined and we could sleep. There was no manager on site to speak to until the next morning. The rooms aren't all in the beach house building as advertised. Ours was in a building behind an alleyway next to it, more like a student dormitory. The blinds had visible stains and there were cobwebs. It was a massive disappointment. For the same price we could have stayed at a Premier Inn and probably received more support.

The location was good, but the way things were handled left us feeling ripped off and stressed during our holiday. We booked a family room with a beach side view, then were moved to a nearby building with no view. We were told there was free parking, but on arrival they turned us away, saying it was for staff only, so we had to pay to park. We were also told the food was complimentary. By the time we ate, there was no hot food because they were about to close, which we were fine with. Then they charged us around 15.99 per person. We didn't have coffee or anything else because we were in a rush. When we asked about the charge, the manager said bluntly it wasn't her who had said that, as if she'd done a big business deal and made management proud. Cheap arguments and unwanted mental stress made this a bad way to spend a trip. You can keep our money.

The two-course meal starting at £19.95 was great value, with comforting, indulgent dishes full of flavour. The food was delicious, and the staff were warm, friendly, and ready to go the extra mile. They made us feel like part of the family. The panorama rooms have huge sea views, and they're bright and beautifully furnished, with a lot of care in the details. There are also cosy budget rooms for different budgets, with thoughtful extras. Every room has complimentary tea, coffee, crisps, biscuits, and more. The Beach Club is a lovely place to remember. From the moment you arrive, it feels special, whether you're after a coastal break or a quick getaway. I can't recommend it enough.

Service was good, though a bit hit and miss at times. The hotel is generally fine, with an older, typical seaside feel, and the breakfasts were okay. For the good price and great location, I'd recommend it.

I had a fantastic holiday at the beach club, with great food and some great chats with Tomi. Being so close to the ocean was calming, and you can smell the sea air. Back in the late 18th century, that was prescribed to many people with lung ailments. The positive ions are still there to breathe in now! I'm hoping to come back next year.
