Lower Crankan Farm

Such a peaceful place. Our stay in the Shepherd hut was comfortable, clean and had all the essentials. The hosts were very nice, and their dog was lovely. It took me back to childhood holidays on my grandparents' farm. Highly recommended 👌

The farm was beautiful, the breakfast delicious, and Phil and Geoff were very nice and helpful hosts. My partner and I stayed in The Shepherds Hut, which was clean and had everything we needed. They provided wood for the firepit, which we were able to use. The bed was comfortable too, and their dog Harry was so well behaved. I enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place.

The hut is compact, barely bigger than a train coach, but it's thoughtfully equipped with the essentials. There's a small kitchenette with two stoves and a freezer, a cosy dining area and even a little restroom. The bed sits slightly above the floor and was especially comfortable, giving us a great night's sleep. The one downside was that the WiFi was a bit wobbly even inside the hut. Lower Crankan Farm is a peaceful retreat that feels far from the bustle, though it's only a short 10-minute drive from Penzance. We stayed in the shepherd's hut for three days and will cherish the experience. The farm is full of life, with chickens, cattle and horses, surrounded by beautiful countryside, a lovely setting for anyone wanting to unwind in nature. Breakfast was a highlight. We chose from a menu the night before and ate in the charming conservatory. It was a warm, inviting start to the day, and the food was delicious, made with fresh local ingredients. Of all the B&Bs we've visited so far, Lower Crankan Farm is the best. You can really relax and disconnect here, and the shepherd's hut adds something unique to the stay. We'd highly recommend it for a relaxing break in a picturesque setting.

The breakfast was a real highlight, chosen from a menu the night before and served in the conservatory, which had a lovely atmosphere. Our hosts also gave us great tips for local places to eat in the evening. We stayed in the Garden Room, with its own entrance and little terrace. The room and bathroom were modern and spotless, and the hosts' cat and dog gave us a very friendly welcome. The hosts themselves were wonderfully hospitable. This was the best B&B we've visited so far, and such a relaxing place to stay. We only wish we'd booked more than four nights.
