The Queens Hotel

We’ll definitely come back. The rooms are quiet, the beds very comfortable and the heating works well. They’re nicely equipped with tea and coffee making things, and the bathroom has a large bath and shower area. The hotel has recently been renovated to a good standard, with a lift to every floor. There’s plenty of parking, including disabled spaces and electric charging. It’s a great base for seeing West Cornwall’s attractions, with lovely views and good food. Staff are pleasant and always willing to offer advice or help.

The room was spacious, and being right by the sea made it easy to go for coastal walks and relax by the water. The service was very poor. I followed the front desk’s instructions and waited in the lobby until 4pm to check in, only to find out the room still hadn’t been cleaned. On top of that, getting my refund took more than three weeks and was an exhausting process.

The hotel’s older decor and furnishings were a refreshing change, and I really enjoyed my stay. After a sleepless 15-hour journey I arrived early, but the wonderful staff got me into a room before check-in time, which I really appreciated. Breakfast was lovely. It was also nice to have a coffee or pint of lager indoors with a sea view when the weather was poor. I’ll definitely stay again.

The view was fabulous, and our enormous, clean room had everything we could need. There’s a restaurant on site and breakfast is included. We were so glad to find this place after first booking somewhere else. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and a cute dog wagging his tail behind reception absolutely made my day brighter.
