The enclosed two-level garden was a big hit with our dog, and the lodge itself had an open-plan layout. On arrival, the owner greeted us and pointed out the milk, tea, coffee, sugar, clotted cream and scones waiting inside. It’s a lovely rural Cornwall hideaway. October brought some rain, as expected, though the sun came out now and then and we managed most of our plans. Check it out on Sykes' website.

The large enclosed garden was lovely, and everything was clean and in good condition. Annette was a wonderful host who went out of her way to make our stay pleasant. We booked through Sykes Cottages via dogfriendlycottages. Couldn’t recommend it enough, and we’d happily stay again.
