The included breakfast was a welcome bonus, and the price was good compared with other options. The room had plenty of fresh air, and the shower was good. I did find the bathroom layout awkward, with the toilet partly under the sink. The bed was the main drawback. I'm 6'4", and the single was too small, especially with bed walls at both ends cutting down the length. The room could use some refurbishment, and a larger or more suitable bed would make a big difference. With those changes, I'd happily give the stay 4.5 stars.

My husband and I had a very comfortable stay, and the rooms were clean and tidy. The bar was cozy and spotless, with an excellent atmosphere. I can't give more than three stars, though, because of the staff. The blonde lass in reception was particularly disrespectful and lacking in compassion toward customers, especially her coworkers. She was rude, uninterested and dismissive. Basic manners toward one another shouldn't be much to ask these days.

We both enjoyed our one-night stay in room 25. It had a great sea view, and the room was clean and tidy, with a large bathroom and a bath. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was one of the best we've had in a while. Highly recommended.

I stayed here on 8 September, about a month ago, while remembering a holiday trip around the Cornwall places my late wife and I used to visit. Room 23 was comfortable, the bed too, and breakfast was generous. Thanks to Angel and her colleagues for taking such good care of me. I’ll be back.
