The Bell

We chose The Bell for our hashing club Summer party at Christmas because we’d eaten there as a group before and loved it. The team put together a bespoke menu for 27 people, with different options for our group’s dietary requirements. They set aside an area for us and let us decorate it to match the party theme. We felt welcome the moment we walked through the door for our two-night stay, and looked forward to settling in. The room was very comfortable, and both the bar and restaurant were well appointed. Our Saturday evening meal was restaurant quality, definitely not average pub grub. The staff and regulars were friendly, and we’d happily come back when we’re next in the area.

After a long morning walk, we stopped at the Bell and had a really tasty meal. The service was excellent and very friendly. The food was a welcome change from usual pub fare, with beautifully spiced Moroccan-inspired options and really excellent homemade pies. Highly recommended.

For the past three years, our extended family of about a dozen people has had its annual meal here. The staff have always been welcoming and accommodating. The food arrived all at once and tasted great.
