The cabin was fantastic and the food at the charity ball was great. We had a lovely time, but the weekend was spoiled a bit by what happened to our friends. We’d booked cabins with two other couples and bought ball tickets, but one couple’s cabin had been double booked. They had nowhere to stay, had to drive all the way home and missed the ball, leaving them out of pocket and unhappy.

The beautiful location, peaceful surroundings and plenty of parking were real positives. Our cabin, though, was very tired: the bathroom grout was stained, there were cobwebs in the corners and dust everywhere, and the carpets were heavily stained. The bed was nice and big, but its mattress was so hard that sleeping on it was painful. A few changes could make this place perfect.

William and Julie were absolutely lovely with our little girl and made the trip extra special. Breakfast was 10/10, with lovely, well-cooked food and a view over the beautiful golf course. We really enjoyed our stay and the balcony view was beautiful too. The room was nice and clean, though it’s starting to look tired and could use a bit of freshening up. Thanks so much for a great break away.

Having a private balcony made the night away feel special, and the bedrooms are amazing. The golf course views from the comfortable bar and lounge are beautiful, and the clubhouse feels warm and welcoming. It’s such a peaceful golf club, with friendly staff, and the patio looks perfect for a drink on warmer evenings. A fantastic experience at a real hidden gem. I’ll definitely be back soon, thank you.

A neighbour treated me to afternoon tea for her 80th birthday. The wide choice of teas and exceptional food were lovely, and we could take home what we couldn’t finish. The service was good and nothing was too much trouble. One of the ladies has already booked to go again, and I’d happily come back too. A lovely experience!
