Relax Inn - Thorpe Lodge Hotel

The staff were always friendly, accommodating and ready to help, and the lodge itself was spotless, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had a fantastic stay in Peterborough and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended!

It’s in a handy spot, opposite a Co-op corner shop and on a main bus route. The station and city centre are only about 10 minutes away. Our room was clean and warm, the staff were very helpful, and the prices seemed reasonable.

There was what looked like mouse droppings on my bed and towel, the sheets hadn’t been changed, and there were holes in the ceiling. The wooden beam looked as if it might fall down. I tried to raise this politely, but wasn’t taken seriously. I was offered a clean towel and told the bed was made the old way because people can’t get into it if it’s tucked in properly. After I called to say I was leaving, I found my number had been blocked. I rarely complain, but my boss saw the photos and insisted I leave, even though it was late when I finished work and I’d said I’d stay. I’m really shocked.

The rooms were very clean, the beds good quality, and the employees polite and respectful. They were also really helpful in showing me to my room. I’d expected an average experience for what I paid, but it was great. The service was top, and it was well worth the money.
