The Bluebell

The owners were friendly and helpful, and I had a lovely breakfast before heading off. I stayed overnight on a work trip, enjoying the picturesque, peaceful location, some good food and a quiet beer outside. The room was cosy and nicely furnished, a comfortable place to relax.

We decided to try Sunday lunch today to welcome the new landlady and landlord to the village. It was delicious: we had roast beef and chicken with a tasty range of vegetables and great Yorkshire puddings, all at a good price. We'll be back.

A huge thank you to the chef and team for last night's dinner. Everyone at our table chose something different, and every dish was a pleasure to eat. The fish and chips were superb, with a light, perfectly cooked batter and equally good chips. The lasagne was a huge portion, proper home-cooked style, and left you with a big food smile. The burger was gorgeous and filling, and the calamari starter was so good I might order it every time I come in for a pint. Everything we ate was top drawer, and I'd recommend this place to anyone who loves a great meal out. The service was great too. Thanks again!

It's a great pub with a good selection of beers and brilliant service, but we won't eat there again. I was disappointed by the game pie, which had about 25% carrot. I'd never had game pie with carrot in it before. My wife asked for her sirloin rare and it was, but sadly dry.
