Pear Tree House Bed and Breakfast

We came for a theatre visit, which was an easy ten-minute walk away. The B&B itself has lovely rooms and a great spot near town. It’s a charming traditional place, and the hosts were wonderful. Breakfast was superb, with lots to choose from, freshly cooked good-quality food, and plenty of it. We’d highly recommend it.

The bed and pillows were amazing, and we had a really enjoyable few days. We came up to view the classic car auction at Matthewsons and got such a warm welcome. There was a nice choice of breakfasts too. It’s a lovely place, and we’ll definitely come back if we’re in the area again.

Sarah and Chris made the week special. They were always cheerful and took an interest in what we’d been doing each day of our holiday. My wife and I spent a week at the Pear tree B&B in the lovely, spacious Gable Room, with a great shower. Breakfast was so good that between us we tried everything on offer. My wife’s favourite was scrambled egg with mushrooms and tomato, while I liked the full English and pancakes.

The room felt fresh, clean and homely, and the separate private bathroom was spacious and spotless, with plenty of soap, towels and robes. Sarah and Chris welcomed us warmly, showed us around and gave us all the information we needed, so we never felt unsure about anything. We could choose our breakfast time and order from the menu each day. There was plenty of tea, coffee and juice. The B&B is an easy walk from town, where there are lots of pubs and places to eat. Off-road parking was a real plus, with more than enough room. Steve and Rose x
