Lindsay and Pauline were charming, welcoming hosts, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast had loads of choice and was delicious. My room was comfortable and had a handy mini fridge, though for a longer stay I might choose one of the bigger rooms. There’s a cosy residents’ lounge with a piano, plenty of parking and good WiFi. For hill walking, it’s a great base: you can climb two Munros from The Firs, and I’d bring a mountain bike because the track can be cycled. We ate at the golf club and The Loft, both an easy stroll away, and there’s a small Spar in the village. We still have more to do nearby, so we’ll be back.

Our family had a lovely time at the Firs with Lindsay and Pauline. The hospitality and care were wonderful, and the room had space for three guests, which isn’t typical for the area. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed in the cottage and it was warm and cosy. The host made us feel welcome and looked after us while we were there. We felt right at home and had a great stay.

I was travelling around Scotland on my own and had a lovely stay with Lindsay & Pauline at The Firs. The B&B was quiet and pleasant, the bed and room were comfy, and there was a nice sitting area. It was well located, and breakfast was delicious. Both hosts were interesting, friendly and very helpful. Lindsay is a retired physician, and Pauline is an artist and poet. Another couple staying there, Amanda & Robert, joined us for some great chats and plenty of laughter. I couldn’t have asked for better B&B companions. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!

Pauline and Lindsay were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to make me comfortable. My room was beautiful and very tidy, and the breakfast room was lovely too. I had a fantastic four days there and would love to return.
