Logierait Pine Lodges - Apartments

The area has a lot of history, which I enjoyed. The lodge was the main issue: it wasn’t very clean, especially under the couches, where there was what looked like caked-on dog hair. It also smelled musty and could use a lick of paint, inside and out. The Inn is closed, though the café around the back is open. A roll with bacon and egg cost £7, which felt steep, although everything in this part of the country seems expensive. £200 for two nights isn’t bank-breaking compared with some places, but I’d hoped for better.

A good-value stay in a lovely, quiet area, and the description was accurate. Communication before check-in was clear, and the place was very clean. The lodges are close together, but the neighbours were quiet and respectful. For a two-night stopover, it worked well. The kitchen had a decent range of utensils, though the fridge is tiny, so plan meals carefully. The shower is basic: you can have pressure or heat, but not both. Long-haired guests who use conditioner might struggle a bit. At checkout, you need to empty the bins and strip the beds. I guess that’s normal in Scotland at this price.

We found a wonderful place at a good price, and my four-legged friend was welcome and had a ball. The one-bedroom lodge was spotless, warm and welcoming, with parking right beside it. If I meet friends in Pitlochry again, I’d certainly try to book here.
