Pine Trees Hotel

We spotted a red squirrel in the morning, and the replanted gardens and seating area, reached through patio doors, were lovely. We were upgraded to a refurbished coach house suite, a short walk from the main hotel, with parking outside and EV charging. There was fresh milk in a fridge in the shared entrance hall, a great coffee tray and even a bowl of Tunnocks treats above the fridge. Breakfast was good. The hotel blends historic features with more modern decor tastefully, and we got a very friendly welcome. It's nestled in woodland on the hill in Pitlochry.

The rooms and service were top notch, and I hope to stay here again when I'm next in Pitlochry. It's up a slope but still walkable from the train station. Cheers to Rohan (Ops Mgr), Bronte, Jimmy, Raz and Kaylid for making us feel so welcome!

The grounds were beautiful, and our room was lovely. We had a great dinner and breakfast, and there were lots of little touches that made the stay feel special. I loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone.

We enjoyed the room and the thoughtful little amenities, which made our stay comfortable. The self-service buffet of cookies, crisps and drinks was a lovely touch, and we spent some relaxing time by the cosy, inviting fireplace. One small thing, there was no turn-down service. Breakfast service let us down: it took a very long time for our food and even our coffee to arrive, and the staff weren't always as friendly or attentive as we'd expect at this level. That cost the place points for us. The dining room could feel much warmer and more intimate, with candles, dimmer lights and guests seated in a smaller section when it's not fully booked. Better service and a cosier dining atmosphere would let this place shine.
