We’d stopped here before for soup or drinks and were always impressed by the atmosphere and the amazing service. It’s close enough to home that we hadn’t stayed overnight, though we’d wanted to. Circumstances brought us here for a night in November 2025, and it was amazing. The room was gorgeous, spacious and very comfortable. It was lovely to be personally shown to it. We had dinner, bed and breakfast, and the food was amazing and service incredible. Worth every penny. I’m so glad we finally stayed. Please don’t change.

The Steak & Haggis Pie was rich, full of flavour and beautifully cooked, and the Bread & Butter pudding afterward was just as good, warming and made with care. The Inn on the Tay felt welcoming as soon as we walked in, and the service was friendly, attentive and thoughtful without hovering. We came expecting a nice pub dinner and left feeling like we’d had fine dining. A memorable meal from start to finish, and highly recommended.

BEST FOOD SPOT IN THE AREA. The local food was authentic, delicious and locally sourced, served in a beautiful building near the rapids. The staff knew their food and were exceptionally friendly. We’ll definitely visit again.

Dinner here was lovely, and our server was just wonderful. I think her name may have been Holly, and she had Roman numerals tattooed on her arm. She was professional but also so welcoming and friendly, a real credit to the inn. Highly recommend this place. I might stay next time I’m in the area. What a find.

Walkers and campers shouldn’t be put off by how posh it looks from outside. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and inside it was very well kept. There’s a scenic river view from the eating area. I didn’t eat, but the menu looked good and the food smelled delicious. Shame I wasn’t hungry.
