The people were friendly and helpful, and the place was clean and inexpensive. You can park on the street for £2 a day. The toilet and shower are shared, though, and noise carries through the building easily.

I'm staying here at the moment and I'm very happy with it. The bed's comfortable, breakfast is provided in the morning, and there's a TV and your own bathroom. Nothing to complain about.

I spent a week here. It's very basic, but it did the job. The TV was tiny, the toilet paper felt like sandpaper, and the one sandwich they provided left such a bad taste in my mouth that I didn't ask for another.

We booked at the last minute over a bank holiday weekend, and June was lovely, accommodating, and helpful with arranging a room. The location was great, the service was great, and it's a lovely place. I'd definitely come back.

It's a bit dated, but has everything you need. The porter/owner was really nice, and they provided breakfast, tea bags, and toilet roll. Five stars feels fair to me; I wouldn't rate it lower.
