Bovisand Lodge Holiday Park, Beachside Location & Indoor Heated Pool

The indoor heated pool was my favourite part. Taking my son swimming for the first time is something I won't forget. The grounds were clean and well maintained, and there were thoughtful touches everywhere, from body wash and sewing kits to BBQ tools and even a paid Amazon Prime account. Chocolates on the pillow and a fresh pint of milk in the fridge felt very classy. Before we arrived, we were given a free upgrade from a caravan to a lodge, plus a free cot, since we'd travelled over 600+ miles. Candice, James, and the rest of the staff were great. It's a family business now in its third generation, founded in the 50s, and you can tell how proud they are. A relaxing place in nature on the outskirts of town, with polite staff and plenty for a family. I highly recommend it. And a big thanks to James for helping get my car battery going after I left the lights on overnight. Bovisand really will do everything they can to help.

The beach is only a two-minute walk away, and Plymouth is a ten-minute drive, but the place feels peaceful and tucked away. My family and I are here now and loving it. Everything is immaculate, and the owners have thought of it all. It's a beautiful, quiet spot to unwind, and I'll definitely be back.

Our friends had recently moved to the area, so this was an ideal place for us to stay. The owners gave us a lovely welcome, and the park itself is beautiful. Our two-bedroom caravan was clean, nicely finished, luxurious, and had everything we needed. The views are incredible, with a short walk down to the beach. We borrowed a spade from the red phone box, a lovely touch. We had the swimming pool to ourselves this morning and had a fun time with the children. We didn't get to try the outdoor play area, but it looked great. My six-year-old said it was the best UK stay we've had! We visited the aquarium, Adrenaline jump park, and Dartmoor zoo, all a short drive away. We'll definitely return soon. I'd give the park top marks across the board.

The location is fantastic, the caravans are new, and the indoor pool is great, although you have to book a slot. But for the amount guests pay, I expected some basic services. There were no towels, toilet paper, shower soap or shampoo, or tea and coffee. You also have to fold the bed sheets at checkout. They send instructions about all of this, so we came prepared, but these small things made us feel unwelcome. It's a shame, since providing them could make the stay much better. The Wi-Fi signal inside the caravan was terrible, basically nonexistent. Why not install a proper router inside? Checkout is at 9:30, while check-in is at 16:30, which again left us feeling unwanted. The location and new caravans are great, and the pool is nice, but the stay still lacked the basic service you'd expect for that price.
