The host gave us such a warm welcome. I asked him for sugar many times and he always brought it with a gentle smile, and it was a pleasure to thank him. This is a fabulous place for a family, and I strongly recommend it for a happy trip. It's close to the Hoe, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby, so food and getting around aren't a worry.

Nigel made the whole five-night stay smooth, from booking and check-in right through to the end. The guest house was peaceful and we slept well every night despite its central location. The shared shower room and toilets were clean, always available when we needed them, and weren't a problem at all. We had a wonderful stay with that brilliant, old-school English hospitality. I'd recommend it to friends and family and would absolutely return to Plymouth.

The location worked well for sightseeing, and the guest house stayed quiet in the evening, overnight and in the morning. Everything was clean, in our room and in the shared bathroom. It was a lovely surprise to find biscuits, tea, coffee and oatmeal cups, plus a kettle, mugs and spoons. The price was good and the comfort even better. Nigel welcomed us warmly, was friendly and easy to talk to, and was there whenever we needed help. I asked him for assistance a few times and he was happy to help. Thanks so much, Nigel. From booking by phone to the welcome when I arrived, the service was fantastic. The room was perfect, the price was good, and having everything on the doorstep was a bonus. I mistakenly paid £16.60 for 24-hour parking, then found they offer permits for £5, which is brilliant. Silly me, but I'll use the permit next time. I highly recommend the place and will be back, especially given how short notice my booking was. Thanks very much.
